Privacy policy

Every Tap is below the $3 million turnover threshold that triggers the Australian Privacy Principles by force of law. This policy commits to them voluntarily anyway, because that is the right posture for a business asking strangers for photographs of their house.

What we collect

Your name, mobile, email, suburb or postcode, your answers about your water and the package you are interested in, the photographs you send, and anything you type in the notes field. Nothing else.

The photographs, specifically

They show parts of your property. We use them to price your job and to brief the plumber, we do not publish them, and we do not use them in advertising unless you tell us in writing that we can.

A photo of a meter box is not an address, which is why we ask for a suburb rather than a street address at enquiry stage.

Why we collect it

To price your job, to arrange your install, to invoice you, and to contact you about your enquiry. Nothing is sold, and nothing is given to a data broker or an advertiser.

Who else touches it

Netlify, which receives the form submission and stores it. Google Workspace, where the email lands. Xero, which issues your quote and invoice, and where Stripe processes payment. The licensed plumber engaged for your install, who is told your name, address, phone number and what is being installed, because they cannot do the job otherwise.

Some of these store data outside Australia.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion measurement run on this site. They record how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed and which links are clicked, and this is not linked to the name and number you give on the form. You can opt out of Google's advertising measurement through your Google account's ad settings, or by using a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts.

Marketing

We contact you about your enquiry. If we ever send anything else, it carries an unsubscribe and you can tell us to stop at any time by replying stop or emailing hello@everytap.com.au.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted after 24 months. Records of completed jobs, including the photographs, are kept for seven years because tax law and the warranty both require it.

Getting a copy, or asking us to delete it

Email hello@everytap.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to keep job records under "How long we keep it" above even after a deletion request, because tax and warranty obligations do not end when you ask us to delete your details.

Security

The systems named above are used with multi-factor authentication, and the site is served over HTTPS.

Complaints

To us first, at hello@everytap.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
