Warranty and compliance
You contract with Every Tap, so if something goes wrong you call Every Tap. You do not get sent to a manufacturer, a plumber or a distributor to work out whose problem it is.
The three things that cover your install
Your system
The manufacturer's warranty on the system installed at your house is passed through to you in full. Every Tap does not invent a term on top of it and does not shorten it. The exact term for the system specced for your house is stated on your quote, in writing, before you pay anything.
We will not publish a number here that we cannot stand behind for every unit we fit. If you want the term before you enquire, ask us and we will tell you.
The plumbing work
Your install is carried out by a licensed Victorian plumber, who issues a plumbing compliance certificate for the work and lodges it as the law requires. That certificate is issued to you.
It is not paperwork. Compliance certified plumbing work in Victoria carries six years of cover for defective work, and that cover sits behind your install whether or not Every Tap is still trading. It is the strongest protection on this page and it costs you nothing extra, because a compliance certificate is mandatory on plumbing work over $750 and every package here is well above that.
The law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If something is faulty, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund depending on how serious the problem is, and to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss. Nothing on this page or in our terms reduces that.
How to make a claim
Email hello@everytap.com.au with your name, your install date and what is happening. Photos help. Your job reference is on the label fixed to your housing.
We respond the same day during business hours. If it is a workmanship fault, the licensed plumber who did the work returns to fix it at no cost to you. If it is a product fault, that is ours to take up with the manufacturer, not yours.
What is not covered
- Cartridges, which are consumable and have a twelve month life. Water Care covers replacing them
- A system that has been left past its cartridge life, or modified by someone else
- Damage from freezing, impact or water pressure above the range the system is rated for, which is why a pressure reducing valve is fitted where pressure tests over 500 kPa
- Pre-existing plumbing faults elsewhere in your house that the install did not cause
The label on your housing
Every install gets a weatherproof label with your system, your install date, your job reference and the date your cartridges are due. It is there so that in eleven months' time you are not trying to remember who fitted it, and so that whoever you call can answer without asking you to go and look at the unit.
